Singing is our delight but there's so much more!

Hello and welcome to London Welsh Rugby Choir; Good on you for opening up and visiting the choir's website. The London Welsh Rugby Club has a long and illustrious history, and its latest torch-bearers - the club choir - could be in your charity fund-raising concert.  This unique male choir with its long name was founded by a small group of jolly and affable gentlemen, with a passion for singing where their London dream has become reality.

Marshfield Poster

From the hills near Bath and close to Marshfield, it may be possible on tip-toe to see the Land of Song: Marshfield will become a musical part of Wales for a good number of hours. The sound of the choir will be once again Bred in Heaven to the local followers and exiles alike in Saint Mary’s Church. When in foreign climbs, as a nation, we tend to show our geographic, social, intellectual, even spiritual roots. There is nothing like a good funeral, a wonderful wedding or a great concert. Mostly Welsh, we sing, not lustfully, but tunefully and there can’t be too many nations whose musicians complete their concert by entertaining the audience with such passionate hymn singing.

Welcome from our President John Dawes O.B.E

John Dawes

LONDON WELSH RUGBY CLUB CHOIR is a choir with a passion to perform and proud to be singing. Teamwork is central to my philosophy and to that of the choir and this choir extends a warm welcome to potential choristers who would like to join an exciting team.

The London Welsh Rugby Club Choir is honoured to have this rugby legend as its President. John appeared with the choir on the British and Irish Lions Tour to New Zealand, and his presence and participation opened many doors to the All Blacks rugby world for the choir.

Throughout our history we have set out to entertain audiences and raise funds for charities whilst enjoying ourselves through singing and the close comradeship that this wonderful pastime brings. We perform in public, mostly to support organisations in their fund-raising activities. It is more than the music, however, that keeps the choir together, with singers, their families and supporters enjoying a range of social activities. We are a much-travelled choir and believe that getting away together not only improves our singing but also fosters unity and fellowship in what we like to think of as one big family as well as a choir. We hope you find our website useful and invite you to look further by using the Navigation Pane above.

Perhaps you'll consider: booking the choir.

Bois, Huge thanks to all those who were able to take part in this event earlier today and thanks to all who expressed interest. As is the case with these things, we never really know what to expect and things certainly moved quickly in the lead up and on the day. Who'd have though that we would be the first Bangra Welsh Male choir to be seen across the ASIA network. Some screenshots have kindly been sent in from our Bangladeshi correspondent. The offers from BOLLYWOOD are flooding in, so dust down your passports, especially you Boxes Bach! There's lovely!
